Adelaide Strikers have suffered their first defeat in this season's Big Bash League, losing by 18 runs at home to Perth Scorchers.
The Scorchers made 133-6 from their 20 overs before they bowled out the hosts for 115 in the final over.
A big score of 54 not out from Adam Voges underpinned Perth's innings, while Michael Klinger (21) and Yasir Arafat (18 not out) also contributed with the bat.
However, disappointing knocks from Marcus Harris (nine), Michael Carberry (11) and Ashton Agar (duck) saw the visitors fall short of the 150-run mark. Ben Laughlin, Adam Zampa and Shaun Tait all ended with two wickets apiece for Adelaide.
Knocks of 22 and 17 from Tim Ludeman and Craig Simmons respectively made sure that the Strikers started their run chase positively, but the rest of their batting lineup struggled out in the middle.
Jono Dean (13) and Travis Head (14) were the only other players who offered any real resistance with the bat as Perth sealed the victory in the final over. Arafat, Agar, Andrew Tye and Brad Hogg all finished with two wickets each, while Jason Behrendorff also got in on the act with the ball.
