Hobart Hurricanes have moved into fifth place in the Big Bash League after they recorded a six-wicket victory over Brisbane Heat.
Brisbane, who included Andrew Flintoff in their lineup, started the match on the front foot with Jimmy Peirson and Peter Forrest putting on 119 runs for the opening wicket before both men fell in the space of four balls.
Daniel Christian arrived at the crease to hit a remarkable 34 runs off nine balls, but despite his dismissal, Heat still posted a target on 208 from their 20 overs.
Like their opponents, Hobart wasted no time in racking up the runs at the start of their innings with Ben Dunk and Tim Paine easily keeping up with the required rate on 10.45 runs per over.
Paine made 55 runs off 25 balls while Dunk scored 67 off 40 deliveries to put the Hurricanes in control, before Alex Hales hit a quick-fire 34 before being dismissed by Flintoff.
That was as good as it got for Flintoff, who conceded 28 runs from two overs, and George Bailey was able to add 28 runs from 12 balls to get Hobart over the line with an over to spare.
