Kane Williamson scored an unbeaten century to help New Zealand win the second Test against Sri Lanka in Hamilton by a five-wicket margin.
The home side returned with an overnight score of 142-5, needing 47 more runs for victory.
Spearheaded by the world's number one batsman Williamson, it took the Kiwis just 55 minutes on the fourth morning to reach that target.
Williamson ended with 108 runs to his name, while he was joined at the crease by BJ Watling (13) as the hosts wrapped up a 2-0 series win.
"It was an interesting surface. The Sri Lanka bowlers put us under a lot of pressure and we did the same when we learned from them," Williamson told reporters.
"I think it's very important to stick to your gameplan when that's going or come up with a gameplan that's clear in your mind and you're able to stick to. It was an interesting game, I'm sure it was pretty good to watch."
The two sides will now play two one-day international games, the first of which will take place on Boxing Day in Christchurch.
