Perth Scorchers have climbed to second in the Big Bash ladder following an emphatic nine-wicket victory over Sydney Thunder at the WACA.
Thunder, who have lost every game this season, won the toss and elected to bat, but they were soon regretting that decision when captain Chris Gayle was dismissed for just two in the second over.
Usman Khawaja then hit an impressive 56 off 45, while Simon Keen and Mark Cosgrove made 14 and 18 as the away side limped to an under-par total of 113-9.
Scorchers spinner Brad Hogg finished with figures of 4-29.
The hosts reached their target with six of their 20 overs to spare, thanks in no small part to unbeaten knocks of 56 and 39 from Shaun March and Marcus North.
Marsh is now the top run-scorer in this year's tournament.
