Melbourne Stars have become the first team ever to end a Big Bash regular season with a 100% record.
The Stars secured their eighth straight victory of the competition by beating Perth Scorchers by 20 runs at the MCG on Monday.
Defeat for Perth means that they finish third in the standings, giving themselves an away trip to Sydney Sixers in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the Stars will be at home to Hobart Hurricanes.
The Stars, captained by Brad Hodge in the absence of Cameron White, won the toss and chose to bat.
Hodge opened the batting and went on to post a top score of 61 from 43 balls, helping his team to a decent total of 161/6.
Perth's chase never really got going, as John Hastings ripped through the visitors' batting, taking three wickets for just 20 runs during his four-over spell.
Simon Katich, Adam Voges and Jason Behrendorff offered some resistance, contributing knocks of 30, 29 and 26 respectively.
However, it was not enough as the Scorchers fell short, despite Brad Hogg smashing Scott Boland for six off the final ball of the match.
