South Africa have called up Lions wicketkeeper Thami Tsolekile for their upcoming tour of England following Mark Boucher's injury.
Boucher was forced to retire from international cricket following eye surgery after getting struck by a bail playing against Somerset earlier this week.
South Africa selector Andrew Hudson said: "Thami has done very well [for] both the Lions and South Africa for a couple of seasons, culminating in his South African record [of] eight catches in an innings this past week.
"With AB de Villiers also able to fill the role of wicketkeeper in the Test series it gives the tour selectors options in this important position."
Tsolekile replaced Boucher in the national side for three Tests in 2004.
