Sunrisers Hyderabad won their third Indian Premier League game in a row by defeating struggling Kings XI Punjab by five runs this evening.
The hosts won the toss and decided to bat, with opener David Warner smashing 82 runs off just 52 balls as the Sunrisers surged to 185-5 from their 20 overs.
Warner was the Sunrisers' top scorer and was assisted by both Shikhar Dhawan (24) and Moises Henriques (28), sharing partnerships of 56 and 65 with the duo.
In response, Kings XI, who have no chance of reaching the playoffs, got off to a good start as openers Murali Vijay and Manan Vohra put on a partnership of 42.
However, the visitors' innings dried up in the middle and they fell to their 10th defeat in 12 games, despite an impressive late flurry from David Miller with 89 off 43.
