India make light work of the West Indies' batsmen as they skittle Chris Gayle and company out for a paltry 182 runs in 44.2 overs in the Cricket World Cup.

India appear on course to cement early progression into the next round of the Cricket World Cup having skittled the West Indies out for a paltry 182 after 44.2 overs.

MS Dhoni's men began the game in good fashion as Mohammed Shami removed Dwayne Smith for six, before returning to see Chris Gayle hole out to Mohit Sharma at deep square leg.

Jonathan Carter provided some brief early resistance for the Windies as he made 21 after both Denesh Ramdin and Lendl Simmons were removed, only for Shami to pick up a catch at long-leg following some pressured spin bowling from Ravichandran.

Andre Russell was next in and he showed great impatience after carelessly dragging across the line from Ravindra Jadeja, with Virat Kohli producing an efficient catch at long-off.

The West Indies' only sign of positivity came from Jason Holder, who produced a timely 57 until he was removed as the last man, leaving the Windies to collect a rather unimpressive score of 182 all out.
