Ireland have been knocked out of the T20 World Cup following the decision to abandon their final group match against the West Indies this afternoon.
The Irish made 129-6 from 19 overs in an innings that was hampered by the wet conditions in Colombo.
Rain fell even harder between the two innings and as a result the umpires opted to call time on the match, meaning that no result was reached.
That means the Windies qualify for the Super Eight stage ahead of Ireland by virtue of the fact that they have a better net run rate of the two nations.
The Windies now move into a group that includes England, Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
