West Indies have reduced India to 120-5 at lunch on day two of the first Test match in Kolkata.

The man of the morning session has undoubtedly been off-spinner Shane Shillingford, who took 4-53 in 17 overs, with Sheldon Cottrell pitching in with the wicket of Cheteshwar Pujara.

Chasing the Windies' first-innings total of 234, the hosts made a solid start by getting to 42 without loss, but the next 41 runs would come at the expense of five batsmen.

First to go was Shikhar Dhawan (23), who played an inside edge onto his stumps, before Shillingford produced a doosra to bamboozle Murali Vijay (26), allowing Denesh Ramdin to stump him.

Pujara was caught behind for 17 runs as the tourists' attack sought to defend a below-par total.

Shillingford struck twice in quick succession to remove Sachin Tendulkar (10) and Virat Kohli (3), leaving Rohit Sharma (16) and MS Dhoni (21) at the crease during lunch.
