Former Tour de France winners Chris Froome and Sir Bradley Wiggins have been named in Great Britain's provisional squad for this month's UCI Road World Championships in Spain.
The Team Sky duo are included in a 14-man roster for the event, alongside Commonwealth road race winner Geraint Thomas and British champion Peter Kennaugh, with eight riders to take part in the men's elite road race.
Thomas and Wiggins are also named in the time-trial squad with Commonwealth champion Alex Dowsett and two-time Tour of Britain runner-up Steve Cummings.
2011 world champion Mark Cavendish, who recently made his comeback from a shoulder injury, misses out.
Meanwhile, Commonwealth gold medallist Lizzie Armitstead leads the squad for the women's road race.
