Tinkoff-Saxo have announced that they have agreed a new three-year contract with Polish rider Rafal Majka.
The 24-year-old is one of the emerging stars of the sport, finishing seventh and sixth in the last two editions of Giro d'Italia and winning the mountains classification and two stages in this year's Tour de France.
"I'm very happy to announce that we've extended Rafal's contract. He still had one year left of his contract but he deserved to get an extension after his efforts this year and during the Tour," said Bjarne Riis, team manager of Tinkoff-Saxo.
"He has developed solidly and quickly during the last seasons. I know how hard Rafal has worked during the season and he definitely deserves a spot on the team."
Majka is riding his home tour - the Tour of Poland - which starts today with a 226km stage from Gdansk to Bydgoszcz.
