Bradley Wiggins has revealed that he is only focused on how he will perform in 2013.
The 32-year-old achieved remarkable success during 2012, winning the Tour de France before winning gold in the time trial event at London 2012.
He has insisted that he is no rush to decide on whether he will defend his Olympic title in Rio de Janeiro in four years' time.
Wiggins told Sky Sports News: "Rio is too far away. We tend to work in short blocks and get the most out of those blocks and when you get to the end of those blocks, you decide what you are going to do next.
"For the foreseeable future, it is just concentrating on 2013, not looking to far ahead and concentrating on the goals in front of us."
Wiggins was presented with the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award on Sunday night.
