Omega Pharma-Quick Step rider Mark Cavendish has won stage 13 of the Giro d'Italia by the smallest of margins.
The former Team Sky rider can celebrate back-to-back wins after he overtook Giacomo Nizzolo in the last 300m to take the victory, with Luka Mezgec coming in third.
Despite winning the stage, Cavendish immediately dropped to the floor with exhaustion, but he managed to get to his feet after a drink to celebrate his win.
The overall standings remain the same with Vincenzo Nibali at the top with the pink jersey, with a lead of 41 seconds over Cadel Evans.
