Shanaze Reade has qualified in second place for the women's BMX final, while fellow Brit Liam Phillips has also made the final in the men's event.
Australian Caroline Buchanan qualified ahead of Reade in first after winning the last of the three semi-final runs.
Three-time world champion Reade had earlier won the second run after finishing behind Buchanan in the opening race.
Phillips recorded finishes of second, third and fourth to sneak into his final, which takes place shortly after Reade's at around 4.45pm.
