Great Britain's Paralympic cyclist Sarah Storey has insisted that she will be satisfied if she fails to equal Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson's record of 11 gold medals.

The 34-year-old can pick up her 11th medal at Brands Hatch today after she secured her third gold in the women's C5 individual time trial yesterday.

"Tanni's a good friend, an incredible athlete and such a lovely girl," The Telegraph quotes Storey as saying. "I can't believe I've been put on the same page as her.

"Just to even be thought of in the same breath is an honour, whether or not it goes my way. The road race is a road race, you can never tell. The girls will all be gunning to beat me after this week.

"I'll have to keep my wits about me and see what happens. I'm marked everywhere I go. I'll see what I can do and hopefully have the legs for it."

Storey clinched two gold medals for Great Britain at the velodrome last week.
