Great Britain's Kadeena Cox has said that it is a major help to be on the same team as Dame Sarah Storey following her historic gold medal in the women's C4-5 500m time trial this evening.
Cox smashed the world record at the velodrome just 24 hours after picking up an athletics bronze in the 100m T38 final, becoming the first Brit to win medals in two different sports at the same Paralympics since Isabel Newstead in 1988.
Storey has also enjoyed huge success in two different sports, winning five Paralympic swimming titles before switching to cycling and increasing her gold-medal tally to a record 12.
"It's awesome [being on the same team as Storey]. Sarah's obviously a great person to have behind you and she's given me great encouragement. She's done amazing things here so to have her on the team is amazing," she told Sports Mole.
Storey narrowly missed out on her 24th Paralympic medal in the 500m time trial after being knocked off the podium by Cox.
