Steve Bate, with pilot Adam Duggleby, has earned Great Britain's third gold medal of the Rio Paralympic Games thanks to a storming success in the men's B 4000m individual pursuit.
Team GB finished more than a second in front of Netherlands duo Vincent ter Schure and Timo Fransen in the final, just hours after smashing the world record to qualify.
Bate and Duggleby, who will also compete in the time trial and road race events later in the programme, dominated the event on their Paralympic debuts, much in the same way as Dame Sarah Storey and Megan Giglia before them - the female competitors also storming to gold medals on the opening day of the Games.
That takes Britain's medal tally to four overall, as Storey edged out Crystal Lane in the women's C5 3000m individual pursuit final to come out on top.
