Chris Froome's bid for the yellow jersey at the 100th Tour de France did not begin smoothly this morning as he suffered a puncture just moments before the off.
The British rider, who has replaced the injured Bradley Wiggins as Team Sky's lead rider, was in the 'neutralised' zone though, and was able to get a replacement bike with little hassle.
"An early bike change for @chrisfroome . We're still neutralised so no issue. Let's get that out of the way early shall we! #TDF," tweeted the team.
Froome soon caught up with the rest of the pack on a flat first stage which is expected to be dominated by the sprinters, such as Mark Cavendish.
The first route takes place on island of Corsica, from Porto-Vecchio to Bastia.
