Chris Froome was forced to run up the Mount Ventoux summit after damaging his bike in the 12th stage of the Tour de France.
The two-time winner, who held the yellow jersey, was involved in a pileup after Ritchie Porte slammed into a motorbike that had suddenly broken down in front of him.
Once he realised that the bike was damaged, Froome began to run up the hill until the Team Sky support car caught up with him, and eventually finished the stage on his own bike.
The chaos, though, resulted in Froome provisionally dropping to sixth in the general classification, 53 seconds off new yellow jersey holder Adam Yates, but the new standings were scrapped by a jury.
Froome has retained the yellow jersey.
