Gary Anderson admits that he has got a hard act to follow when he takes on Dave Chisnall in Glasgow tonight.

Gary Anderson has admitted that he has got a hard act to follow at Glasgow's SSE Hydro tonight.

The 43-year old, who is ranked 16th in the world, returns to his native Scotland to take on Dave Chisnall in the Betway Premier League.

A record 11,000 people are expected in the arena, which has played host to the likes of Rod Stewart and Fleetwood Mac in recent times.

"I don't know what it has been like in there before but it's going to be something else when the Scottish darts fans get in there," Anderson is quoted as saying by the Western Gazette. "The images of the arena look incredible and we're going to feel like pop stars playing in there.

"I've been told the likes of Rod Stewart and Fleetwood Mac have already been in there and put on quite a show so we've got a hard act to follow. I can't sing, that's for sure. But I hope to produce a performance that makes the fans happy and give a payback to those who have followed and kept faith with me.

"It's going to be an incredible night with three Scottish guys (Anderson, Robert Thornton and Peter Wright) in the lineup and I'm sure Robert and Peter are just as determined as me to do well."

Elsewhere, Phil Taylor has vowed to "get it right" following three successive defeats so far.
