World youth champion Keegan Brown has revealed that he is confident of making an impact on his debut at the PDC World Championship on Thursday night.
Brown recently defeated Adrian Lewis and Raymond van Barneveld to reach the last eight of the Grand Slam of Darts, and ahead of his match with former world champion John Part, the world number 69 believes that he can continue the form that he produced in Wolverhampton.
The 22-year-old told PDC.tv: "I think that what I achieved at the Grand Slam was perfect preparation for the World Championship. I think this is the right time for me to play in the World Championship.
"Even though I am still young, I feel I have had a slow and steady progression into the professional game. If I start where I left off at the Grand Slam, then I've got a great chance."
Victory for Brown could set up another meeting with two-time winner Lewis in the second round.
