Phil Taylor has been paired with 2013 Lakeside winner Christian Kist in the group stages of this year's Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton.
The 54-year-old, who has won the event on five occasions, will also face former runner-up Andy Hamilton and BDO representative Richie George.
World number one Michael van Gerwen will play Kim Huybrechts, Jan Dekker and Darren Webster, while 2012 victor Raymond van Barneveld must overcome Robert Thornton, Vincent van der Voort and Robbie Green to reach the last 16.
However, the 'group of death' arguably involves 2014 Lakeside champion Stephen Bunting, who will play Gary Anderson, Dean Winstanley and Wesley Harms.
The event at the Civic Hall gets underway on Saturday.
