Michael van Gerwen has described his victory over Peter Wright in the PDC World Championship final as a "dream come true".
The Dutchman, who saw off Wright 7-4 to secure the title, also paid tribute to his opponent after the match.
"It's so difficult to win this title and there was more pressure on me this year than last year. It means so much for me," BBC Sport quotes Van Gerwen as saying.
"It's unbelievable, a dream come true. I'm so glad I won but all credit to Peter, he did well and put me under pressure."
Van Gerwen's victory saw him secure prize money totalling £250,000 as well as the title.
