The Welsh pairing of Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton power to their second World Cup of Darts crown, thrashing Scotland in the final.

Wales have won the World Cup of Darts for the second time with Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton guiding their nation to victory in Frankfurt.

The pair have been regulars at the business end of this tournament, winning in 2020 before losing to Australia in last year's final.

However, Price and Clayton had no such issues this time around as they cruised to a 10-2 triumph over Scotland - represented by Peter Wright and Gary Anderson - in the showpiece match.

The Welsh team won eight of the first nine legs and averaged an impressive 96.18 to add another piece of silverware to their respective trophy cabinets.

In the semi-finals, Wales came through a last-leg decider with Belgium, with Clayton brilliantly taking out a 100 checkout with their opponents left on 59.

Wales also defeated Sweden 8-5 earlier on Sunday, while Scotland whitewashed France before overcoming host nation Germany by an 8-5 scoreline in the last four.

Germany had been responsible for storming past England's Michael Smith and Rob Cross in the quarters, the same stage where defending champions Australia missed a match dart before losing to Belgium. body check tags ::
