Dean Winstanley has progressed to the second round of the PDC World Championship with a 3-2 victory over fellow Englishman Mervyn King.
The 31-year-old got off to a strong start at Alexandra Palace as he won the first set, but allowed King to launch a comeback in the second.
King won the third set with ease, but Winstanley came back strongly in the fourth to take the match to a decider, which he eventually won.
Wes Newton had a more comfortable day, as he ran out 3-0 winners against World Championship debutant Johnny Haines to advance to the second round of the competition.
Tuesday's other encounters saw Steve Beaton defeat Kyle Anderson 3-0 and Colin Osborne register a win against Lourence Ilagan by the same margin.
