Michael van Gerwen has maintained his position at the top of the Premier League table but he could only draw 6-6 with Robert Thornton in Liverpool.
The world number one withstood an inspired display from the Scot, who is fighting to avoid elimination, but despite leading heading into the final leg, Van Gerwen gifted Thornton numerous darts for the draw and the Grand Prix champion did not require a second invitation.
Phil Taylor could only register a 6-6 draw on Thursday night too, as Peter Wright survived four match darts to take the final two legs of their match.
Gary Anderson has joined the pair at the top of the standings after he registered a 7-4 victory over Dave Chisnall, while Adrian Lewis completes the top four after he defeated Raymond van Barneveld by a 7-5 scoreline.
In the first match of the evening, Thornton got his first victory on the board with a 7-5 win over Michael Smith, who missed one dart at double 10 for a share of the spoils.
