The Chinese pair of Si Yajie and Tai Xiaohu have won the first diving gold medal of the FINA World Championships in Kazan.
The duo led from start to finish in the 10m platform mixed synchro and finished 41.22 points clear in Russia.
Canada's Meaghan Benfeito and Vincent Riendeau dropped from second to fourth going into the final round, but managed their best score, a 74.88, in the sixth round to move back up into the silver-medal position.
Melissa Wu and Domonic Bedggood of Australia were eighth after two rounds before producing three 70+ scores to earn the bronze.
