Tom Daley has been ruled out of a Grand Prix event in Fort Lauderdale after sustaining an elbow injury during training.
The Olympic bronze medallist must now undergo assessment before being passed fit for the two upcoming World Series events in Mexico.
"Daley hurt his elbow in training and has been advised to rest to prevent further injury," said British Swimming in a statement.
Daley is taking part in the Mexican events as part of his preparation for the FINA Swimming World Championships in Barcelona, which take place in July.
The 18-year-old won a gold medal in Fina World Series in Edinburgh last month.
