Jack Laugher has expressed his determination to match his achievements of last year, starting with this weekend's British Diving Championships in Plymouth.
The 20-year-old won 10 medals in 2014, including two golds at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Now, there are Olympic places up for grabs and with that in mind, Harrogate-born Laugher has admitted that there is "an important year" ahead of him.
"I'm expecting good things from this year. I've got more competition experience under my belt although I'm still a relatively young diver compare to others that are competing," he told the official Team GB site.
"It's about doing well in Plymouth, it starts the ball rolling for an important year with Olympic spots up for grabs.
"Getting medals is all well and good but the performance is also important. I want to start well and give myself confidence for the rest of the year."
Laugher will be competing in both the 3m synchro and 3m individual in Plymouth.
