Rylan Clark has revealed that he has had no contact about a hosting role with the mooted revival of Big Brother at ITV.
Recent reports have suggested that the broadcaster is in talks about bringing back the seminal show on ITV2 and streaming service ITVX for a new run in 2023, five years after it was axed by Channel 5.
Clark - winner of Celebrity Big Brother and subsequent host of spinoff show Bit On The Side - has been one of the most vocal proponents of a Big Brother revival and has been linked with the main job if it comes back.
Speaking to The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan, however, he admitted: "I keep hearing the rumours but no-one has called me. I have campaigned since the day we found out."
He continued: "It has to go back to basics. We have got Love Island and it is amazing and it works but I don't want Love Islanders in the Big Brother house.
"I want real people living in that house like Jean from Wolverhampton.... I want Big Brother back where there is no interference and no outside contact."
Emma Willis was the most recent host of the main show when it ended on Channel 5.
