Apple TV+ to launch on Sky Q, Sky Glass
Sky announces that the Apple TV+ app will launch via its Sky Q and Sky Glass products in the first half of 2022.

Sky has announced that the Apple TV+ app will launch via Sky Q and its new TV streaming service Sky Glass "in the coming months".

The news means that almost every major TV streaming app will be accessible through Sky, with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, discovery+ and BBC iPlayer already available and Paramount+ and Peacock launching in the coming months. BritBox - the BBC and ITV joint-venture - is the only notable omission from the platform.

Apple TV+ will launch across Sky's European territories, including the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, while the Sky Go app will become available on Apple TV devices for the first time from mid-2022.

Sky's group chief exec Dana Strong said: "With the addition of Apple TV+ our customers can now enjoy phenomenal shows like The Morning Show, Trying and Ted Lasso, together with our own award-winning Sky Originals, and the best content and apps from our partners, all on Sky Glass, the streaming TV from Sky, or Sky Q, our market-leading Sky box."

Apple TV+ subscriptions currently cost £4.99 a month, although three or six-month free trials are offered alongside purchases of qualifying Apple hardware products.
