BT Sport's UHD service BT Sport Ultimate will finally launch on Sky this week ahead of the new Premier League season beginning.
The channel, which offers coverage of select events in 4K picture quality, launched seven years ago and up until now has only been available via BT TV and Virgin Media.
BT Sport Ultimate will go live on Sky and Sky Glass this Thursday, August 4 but will not launch on the EPG and will instead only be accessible via the red button - meaning that features such as pause, rewind and recording may not be available.
Customers will need a subscription to both BT Sport and Sky's UHD pack in order to access the service.
The first game to be shown on the channel for Sky customers will be Liverpool's opening-day trip to Premier League newcomers Fulham this Saturday, with coverage starting at 11.30am.
BT is also said to have been testing its BT Sport App via Sky Q for the last year although as yet there are no confirmed plans for the service, which offers enhanced features of match coverage including additional camera angles, to launch.
