GB News has confirmed a lineup of 13 comedians for its nightly newspaper review show Headliners.
After a trial run in late 2021, the show, which offers a humorous take on the next day's big stories, is now a nightly fixture in the 11pm hour.
Three hosts - Mark Dolan, Simon Evans and Dominic Frisby - will take it in turns to anchor the show, with two comedians from a 10-strong roster joining them each night.
The lineup includes Andrew Doyle, who is also the show's executive producer and host of GB News' Free Speech Nation, Rhona Cameron, Nick Dixon, Steve N Allen, Josh Howie, Leo Kearse, Sajeela Kershi, Diane Spencer, Ian Stone and Erich McElroy.
"The difference with comedians is we tend to look at the world through a different lens," said Doyle.
"We don't see everything as a joke or a gag, but we do look at things sideways so we often spot the irony, the paradoxes and even the absurdity of serious things.
"Comedians are well informed on politics and current affairs – it's the source of a lot of our material - but critically, we're not journalists commenting on journalism. This is the key to making Headliners a fast-paced and witty riff on the traditional paper preview format."
The expansion of Headliners is part of a raft of schedule changes for GB News in 2022, with Eamonn Holmes joining the channel as a new breakfast anchor and a new weeknight debate show, The People's Parliament, launching in the coming weeks.
