Sky Sports has announced that it has acquired the UK rights to the new South African T20 cricket league, the SA20.
The new competition launches on January 10 and will feature six teams playing matches across four weeks, comprising a round-robin format followed by semi-finals and a final.
Bryan Henderson, Sky Sports' director of cricket, said: "We are thrilled to add the SA20 to our portfolio of cricket rights. We believe it will be a terrific competition with some of the best English players involved."
Among the high-profile players participating in the competition are Quinton de Kock, Faf du Plessis, Jofra Archer, Sam Curran, Jos Buttler, Eoin Morgan and Moeen Ali.
All 33 matches will be broadcast live on the Sky Sports Cricket channel. body check tags ::
