Channel 4 has unveiled a host of "alternative" programmes to air around the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla early next month.
The special shows include Frankie Boyle's Farewell to the Monarchy, a one-off which sees the comedian take a "spiky" look at the Royal Family by examining its 1,000-year history.
Former Newsnight host Emily Maitlis will discuss her extraordinary interview with Prince Andrew in the two-part Andrew - The Problem Prince, while there will also be a repeat of C4's Prince Andrew: The Musical.
Harry Enfield will return for a 'Coronation special' of comedy The Windsors, set at a time when Charles is just preparing to be crowned and Prince Harry is settling into his new Californian life with Meghan Markle.
C4 chief content officer Ian Katz said: "Channel 4 exists to provide viewers with an alternative, so as the nation is engulfed by pomp, circumstance and forelock-tugging, we'll be offering a rather less reverential slate of programmes including Frankie Boyle's case against the monarchy and the Windsors' scabrous satirical take on the Coronation."
On Coronation day itself - Saturday, May 6 - most networks will hand over to special news coverage, whereas Channel 4's provisional schedule includes seven episodes of The Simpsons and a screening of the animated kids movie Aliens in the Attic. body check tags ::
