Kimberly Hart-Simpson will reprise her role as Nicky Wheatley on Coronation Street next year, it has been revealed.
Appearing for a limited story arc over summer 2020, Nicky was a sex worker whom Daniel (Rob Mallard) became besotted with as he attempted to get over the loss of his wife Sinead.
Nicky was last seen leaving the street to start a new life with her young daughter, but The Sun says that she will make an impromptu return in 2022 to leave Daniel - now dating Daisy - stunned.
"Daniel's world is going to be rocked when Nicky unexpectedly turns up on the cobbles," a source told the newspaper.
"She was there for him in his darkest hour after Sinead's death but he didn't think he'd ever see her again.
"Now he's secretly with Daisy but could Nicky put the final nail in the coffin for their seemingly doomed relationship?"
Nicky is expected back on the cobbles in March.
