DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) has been revealed as the seventh suspect in the murder of Joel Deering (Calum Lill) in Coronation Street.

Twisted solicitor Joel met his maker at the end of September having made enemies of many people in Weatherfield, with police finding his body in the canal several weeks ago.

A series of flashbacks to the night in question have so far cast doubt on multiple characters, including his former fiancée Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown), her father Ed (Trevor Michael Georges), her uncle Ronnie (Vinta Morgan), local bad boy Mason (Luca Toolan), factory owner Carla (Alison King) and DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).

In Monday's episode of the soap, Kit - now heading up the investigation after Lisa stepped down - was also confirmed to be a suspect, as he was seen arguing with a bloodied Joel on the night of the murder.

A further scene saw Kit return to the Rovers in the dead of night, cleaning his hands before swigging from a bottle of whiskey.

Later this week, Dee-Dee will be seen confessing to Ed that she murdered Joel with a crowbar - but is all as it seems?

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7am on ITVX and at 8pm on ITV1.
