Having learned that Evan's temperature is up after his chemo, an exhausted Dawn interrogates Billy over whether some germs could have been transferred to Evan from the other kids. Billy breaks down to Will over his worries about keeping Evan safe from germs when he leaves hospital.

Cain reminds Liam over a beer that he cares about how he's doing.

Dawn's grateful when Rose convinces her to join her for a brandy to unwind, but Will's left horrified when he catches Rose trying to offer her some heavy-duty sleeping tablets too.

Will warns Rose that she's on her last chance at Home Farm and she's left further riled when Kim remarks that she's a long way from Will's forgiveness.

Also: Samson's chuffed when Cain passes his second-hand car as fit to do a road trip around Europe, while Marlon vents his concerns to Paddy.

Josh announces that Samson has passed his driving test ahead of their European trip, but Samson's left miffed by Lydia's muted congratulations.

Charles visits and Rhona can't help but discuss a possible christening for Ivy. When Marlon returns, he's furious to learn that Rhona is discussing things without consulting him yet again and, unable to take it any more, he throws a pan of food at the floor.

Also: Will's unconvinced by Rose's attempt to make amends.

At the HOP, Samson and Josh celebrate ahead of their impending road trip - and Josh takes a shine to Amy, who ends up leaving work early due to his endless flirting. Matty gives Josh some home truths about his behaviour and orders the pair to leave.

Outside, a fuming Josh deadnames Matty and heads back inside to confront him, with Samson following. Things grow increasingly heated and Josh demands the money from the till - but when Josh shoves Samson into Matty, Samson is stabbed by a knife that Matty was holding. As Samson bleeds out, Josh accuses Matty of coming at them with the knife and a panicked Matty's world comes crashing down...

On the camping trip, Marlon tells a shocked Paddy that he's serious about divorcing Rhona. Paddy encourages his mate to fight for his marriage just like he fought back after he had a stroke - what will he decide?

This hour-long episode airs Thursday, June 6 at 7.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX
