Find out what's happening in next week's special episodes of Emmerdale set during the coronavirus lockdown.

Next week marks a first for Emmerdale as it begins airing a series of six special 'lockdown' episodes of the soap.

Each of the episodes will feature just two or three characters and show how they are coping during the coronavirus lockdown.

Just two episodes a week will be broadcast over a three-week period, before the soap goes back to three episodes a week at the end of the month.

Read on to find out more about who's featuring next week!

Monday, June 8

The first two-hander features Sam and Lydia, who are spending lockdown by themselves after kicking out Mandy and Vinny, with Samson stuck on a school trip.

Sam is determined to make sure Lydia stays indoors, but when she makes a trip to the shops for supplies he flips and they go to bed on bad terms.

Sam is hiding something though, and when the truth comes out, will Lydia understand?

This episode airs Monday, June 8 at 7pm on ITV

Wednesday, June 10

Next up are Cain and Aaron, who are trying to adjust to lockdown life together.

When a letter arrives with a prison stamp on it, Cain hides it in a magazine in an effort to stop Aaron spiralling back into despair over Robert.

The pair subsequently get drunk and Cain admits the truth about the letter, leaving Aaron furious.

This episode airs Wednesday, June 10 at 7pm on ITV
