Channel 4 announces a one-off 90-minute edition of Gogglebox to mark the show's 10th anniversary.

Channel 4 has announced plans for a special one-off edition of Gogglebox to mark the show's 10th anniversary.

The format - which sees ordinary families from around the UK giving their thoughts on the week's TV - aired its first episode on Channel 4 on March 7, 2013.

The show has since gone on to become one of the most-watched programmes on British TV and last week kicked off its 21st series on C4.

The 90-minute special has been scheduled for Saturday, March 11 and is described as "a chance to look back at our favourite TV from the last decade and also our favourite Goggleboxers with whom we've watched it".

The episode will feature the most memorable contributors from the last 10 years, including those who have passed away, suggesting that the entire episode may be a compilation rather than featuring any new segments.

The current series of Gogglebox continues Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.
