Made In Chelsea favourite Sam Thompson has reportedly split up with his co-star girlfriend Zara McDermott after 16 months of dating.

The pair moved in together as the UK entered coronavirus lockdown earlier this year and only recently, 28-year-old Thompson admitted that he was considering proposing to the former Love Island contestant.

The couple went on holiday to Mykonos last month and shared a number of loved-up snaps on social media, but according to the Daily Mail, they decided to go their separate ways shortly after arriving back in the UK.

"Zara and Sam split towards the end of last month," a source told the newspaper. "They had been arguing a lot since moving in together as a result of lockdown and things just built up between them.

"Zara has moved back to her parents' house in Essex where she's taking some time for herself, she really loved Sam so this hasn't been easy for her.

"Sam has gone away to have a break from it all and clear his head away from Zara and social media."

The news comes days after Sam's sister Louise Thompson made a cryptic post on social media berating "cheaters".
