Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke is reportedly in final talks to appear in new Disney+ series Secret Invasion.

Former Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke is said to be in talks to join the new MCU project Secret Invasion.

The Disney+ series is centred around Samuel L Jackson's Nick Fury and will also star Ben Mendelsohn and Kingsley Ben-Adir, while Olivia Colman is also thought to be in line for a key role.

According to Variety, Clarke is already in "final negotiations" about joining the cast ahead of filming starting in a few months' time.

Details of Clarke's role, nor that of Colman, have not yet been revealed - although given the calibre of both actresses, the parts are likely to have potential to carry on over into future big-screen Marvel movies.

Coincidentally, Clarke has just released her own comic book series, M.O.M.: Mother of Madness, centred around a single mother who discovers she has superhero powers.

Secret Invasion is due for release on Disney+ in 2022.
