'Like A Prayer' has been crowned the best ever Madonna song by listeners of BBC Radio 2.

In an extensive poll, listeners were asked to choose their favourites from the Queen of Pop's 61 UK Top Ten hits from the last five decades - and the results were revealed in a special three-hour countdown programme on New Year's Day.

Voting for a legendary pop act's favourite song has become a Radio 2 tradition in recent years, with George Michael's 'Careless Whisper' winning in 2022 and 'Never Forget' topping the Take That poll last year.
