Actress Samantha Marie Ware has launched a stinging attack on former Glee star Lea Michele, accusing her of making her time on the show "a living hell".
The 28-year-old joined the cast of the musical TV show for its sixth and final season in 2015 playing Jane, an aspiring singer who wound up joining Rachel's (Michele) New Directions group.
As the George Floyd outrage dominates the landscape in the US, many celebrities have taken to social media to support the #BlackLivesMatter movement, and when Michele added her voice to the cause she received an angry response from Ware.
She wrote: "LMAO REMEMBER WHEN YOU MADE MY FIRST TELEVISON GIG A LIVING HELL?!?! CAUSE ILL NEVER FORGET. I BELIEVE YOU TOLD EVERYONE THAT IF TOU HAD THE OPPORTUNITY YOU WOULD "SHIT IN MY WIG!" AMONGST OTHER TRAUMATIC MICROAGRESSIONS THAT MADE ME QUESTION A CAREER IN HOLLYWOOD..."
While not referencing the exchange directly, fellow Glee star Amber Riley (Mercedes) posted the following tweet shortly afterwards:
Ware's comments follow those of Maya Rivera - aka Rachel's rival Santana - who wrote of Michele in her 2016 memoir: "If I'd complained about anyone or anything, she'd assumed I was bitching about her. Soon, she started to ignore me, and eventually it got to the point where she didn't say a word to me for all of Season 6.
"Lea and I definitely weren't the best of friends, and I doubt we'll ever sit on her couch and eat kale together again."
Michele, 33, has yet to respond to Ware's allegations.
