Carl Woods has confirmed plans to pop the question to Katie Price next year after deeming a Christmas proposal "too cliche".
The couple have enjoyed a whirlwind romance after getting together during lockdown earlier this year and have been speaking about marriage for months.
Fans of the pair had speculated that Woods would propose over the festive period, particularly as her divorce from ex Kieran Hayler was confirmed just before Christmas, but they have now revealed that it will happen at some point in 2021.
"I always knew he was never going to do it at Christmas because it's too cliche," Price told The Sun.
"He'd warned me it wasn't going to happen and he says it won't happen in the next few weeks either - but it will be in 2021 and I can't wait. Carl is really close to (son) Junior and he knows he has to ask him for his permission to marry me. I think he's already done it."
Woods added: "She asks me every day when I'm going to propose but it will never be expected. It will be when she's got no f-ing idea.
"I know what I'm going to do - it's planned, and she'll be in tears. And when we marry it'll be like nothing ever done before."
Should they get hitched, Woods will become Price's fourth husband, following on from Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Hayler.
