Glee actor Dean Geyer has come to the defence of former co-star Lea Michele amid the bullying accusations being levelled against her.
Michele has received numerous allegations of poor behind-the-scenes behaviour from former colleagues in recent days, prompted by a tweet in which Glee actress Samantha Marie Ware said that the 33-year-old had made her first TV role "a living hell".
Former Neighbours actor Geyer appeared in the fourth season of Glee as the boyfriend of Michele's character Rachel and told the Daily Mail that she was a "pleasure" to work with.
"Lea is still one of my favourite co-stars that I have had the pleasure of working with. She is extremely hard working and super fun to be around," he said. "Her work ethic is so strong it forces you to always be on top of your game, and that's something I looked forward to everyday on set. I definitely learned a lot.
"When jumping onto a hugely successful and established show like Glee, I went into it expecting to be known as the 'new guy' for at least a month, but that wasn't the case at all. I almost immediately felt welcomed, and to be totally honest, out of everyone, Lea was the most friendly to me."
Since the allegations surfaced, Michele has posted a note to Instagram apologising for how her behaviour may have been "perceived" by her fellow actors.
