Friends reunion delayed again due to coronavirus
Filming of the Friends unscripted reunion is delayed for a second time due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The highly-anticipated reunion of Friends for a new one-off special has been delayed for a second time due to the coronavirus pandemic.

All six main cast members signed up for an unscripted reunion to help launch the new streaming service HBO Max, with the original March filming dates postponed as the COVID crisis escalated.

A new date of late August was then supposedly mooted, but according to Variety, that too has now been postponed.

The publication cites "an individual with knowledge of the situation" putting the delay down to "the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and its impact on physical production".

A new filming date has yet to be set, making it increasingly unlikely that the special will be released this year.
