Liam Payne has confirmed that he has "been speaking a lot more" to his One Direction bandmates as their 10th anniversary approaches.
The five-piece were put together on The X Factor in 2010 and went on to become one of the most successful groups of all time before going on hiatus in January 2016.
In recent weeks rumours of a reunion this summer have snowballed, with one report this week suggesting that they could agree to stage a one-off gig and even release a new single.
Asked about the stories by James Corden on his US talk show, Payne revealed: "I'm not allowed to say too much obviously because I would be giving it away. But we've been speaking a lot more at the moment.
"I think that we're all feeling that that 10 year[s] is a very special moment."
The potential reunion is thought to include a return to the band for Zayn Malik, who quit to pursue a solo career one year before the remaining four decided to take a break.
