The search team looking for the missing Glee actress Naya Rivera have revealed that they will conduct another search of log cabins around the lake where she disappeared.
The 33-year-old is presumed to have drowned after jumping from a hire boat into California's Lake Piru but failing to resurface on Wednesday afternoon.
Ventura County Sheriff's office have said that the most likely scenario is that she drowned after becoming entangled among the myriad debris on the bottom of the lake, with more than 100 specialists now helping to look for her body.
The investigators have also been searching on foot around the perimeter of the lake but have been bombarded by messages on social media urging them to undertake more detailed searches of the shoreline, with fans hopeful that Rivera may be injured but still alive in a nearby log cabin.
In a statement on Twitter, the Sheriff's office said: "In today's search for Naya Rivera, cabins and outbuildings in the surrounding area will be checked once again, as well as the shoreline. This has been part of the ongoing search effort since her disappearance on Wednesday afternoon. Boat crews continue to scan the lake."
In a subsequent message, they went on to discourage fans from showing up to look for Rivera, explaining: "For those intent on searching for Naya Rivera on your own, 1. The lake is closed. 2. Temps are already in the 90's. 3. The terrain around the lake is very steep and rugged. Our teams are well equipped and highly trained. We don't want to have to rescue you."
Rivera's Glee co-star and close friend Heather Morris posted a heartbreaking message on Twitter on Saturday offering to assist the authorities with their search.
